Who Are We
Basically, we're a bunch of like minded golf fanatics constantly striving for perfection. Try as we might always failing to acheive it
In 2008 the society was formed under the name of "The Anti Tank Toppers Society" by a group of amateur golfers working in the transport industry along with a number of ringers who all saw golf as an escape from the rigorous stress of every day life.
The societies first annual tour was hosted in 2008 at the Ashbury hotel in Okehampton (Devon). The hotel has 4 x 18 hole courses (Oakwood, Beeches, Pines and Kigbeare and an 18 hole par 3 course (Willows).
Over the years, excluding the one year due to Covid. The society has hosted multiple golf tours in Great Briton, Scotland and most recently Wales.
Each year, the society meets up for a fun filled week of banter, comradery and mediocre golf in the pursuit of winning the societies illustrious shield and having their name written into the history books.
In 2024, the societies current members took the decision to rename the society to "#OnlyHonestGolfers Society" to reflect the changes within the group and the influx of new members.
Additionally in 2024, the society members unanimously agreed to rename the shield to the "Mick Fox Memorial Shield" in honour of founding member Mick Fox who sadly past away earlier in the year.
Current society members Dave, Mick, Paul and Terry have over the years played their way to the top and claimed victory on what's known as "Shield Day". Their names engraved forever more.
Not content on winning the shield once, these three members have each won the shield twice. Striving to become the greatest society member of all time. Theirs names are Campbell, Dwayne and Vince. Otherwise know as "BANDITS 1, 2 and 3"

Along with the change of name to the societies shield in 2024, three additional competitions and their respective trophies were added to the societies annual tour.
